Mara Hoffman founded her label in 2000, directly after graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York.
Her vibrant tribal-inspired prints caught the eye of stylist Patricia Field and the brand has more and more loyal fans.
Her signature graphic patterns and bold color clashes will guarantee you some standout looks. The label’s focus has stayed the same since the start: color, global prints, and sustainability.
Mara Hoffman brings her love for nature and travel to her brand as she shifts towards sustainability and responsible fibers.
Mara does not want her clothes to scream sustainable or Eco-conscious. She believes that you should buy something that you love. Once you love it you check the sustainable part.
”Softness is so important to me. I wear so much vintage, so I’m used to things that have really been worn.“
An all-women weaving group in India created the dreamy powder blue–striped fabric for the slip dress and cropped trousers. A warm soft texture!
The Spring / Summer collection 2017 is a little less colorful than in recent years. Mara is craving washed-out colors and natural textures at the moment. “The root of the collection is still there. It’s still about celebrating joy and happiness and color, but it’s just reinterpreted and a little more refined.”
Next to the bright color-blocking and abstract patterns you also find clean white staples.
The collection is available here * as well.
